Comment

The porcelain figures fall to the ground from a height of 3 meters, with the sound of their impact triggering the release mechanism. The result is razor-sharp images of irritating beauty - temporary sculptures made visible to the human eye by the technique of high-speed photography. It is not so much the porcelain figure shattering into pieces that catches the eye, but rather the newly emerging, dynamic figure that takes the place of the frozen pose. In contrast to the lifelessness of the still intact kitsch figurines that Klimas has chosen as his motifs, the photographs of their destruction have a strong narrative character.
