The objects are petals draped and arrangede in a variety of settings which, like a snapshot, are presented as excerpts. Despite the formal clarity of their presentation, the objects cannot always be clearly interpreted. the edges of the individual petals transected by light seem to float like drops of colour as the merge with the black- and/or foreground. In his photogrammes Zahornicky also leaves us in the dark about certain things; only gradually do his works open up to the viewer, yet never do they reveal all.
