I’ve been concerned with questions relating to manipulation and genetic engineering since 1993. Back then, these issues were not the omnipresent focus of media attention. In fact, most people regarded such matters as “craziness” and of virtually no use at all in art. The corresponding work was not presented until much later. And the major exhibitions and so-called “ethical” discussions didn’t’ come until years later.
