Until 1960, Stefan Moses worked as a photojournalist for various newspapers and magazines, and from 1960 to 1965 as a photojournalist for the German magazine Stern. He traveled to many foreign countries and repeatedly to "his" Germany, which became his life's theme. This series was commissioned by the renowned Camera Press photo agency in London, for which well-known photographers such as Cecil Beaton also worked.
