"Made by Nature – Made in China"

The series of photographs Made by Nature - Made in China shows plastic food produced in China for Western firms. The still-life images which are staged in a traditional way, refer on the one hand to historic paintings, on the other to the type of aesthetised food photography used in advertising. This series, too, deals with desires which are aroused by the realistic, appetizing-looking food but are ultimately disappointed.
