Voyeuristic snapshot by the Czech photographer and erotomaniac Miroslav Tichý. Three decades he was out and about in his hometown Kyjov with self-made cameras. Always hoping to catch a glimpse of a woman he took pictures from underneath his coat or through fences and grids, 100 times a day. He developed these mostly blurred and faded pictures himself, most of them show bromine stains, fingerprints and dirt. Tichý found imperfections an important part of his work. He pasted the pictures on paper or cardboard he found and decorated them with different pens. He traced parts he wanted to highlight and thereby reinforced the image’s expressiveness. Thus his works became popular unique examples.
It is one of those rare copies that were framed and signed by Tichy himself.
