In art history, the still life is a symbol of the transience of life. Many artists have dedicated themselves to this theme and captured this one, decisive moment. Michael Wesely, on the other hand, succeeds in documenting a longer process in a single image with his long exposures. In this way, the passage of time, the flow of movements and processes are depicted without showing them directly. The result is surprising, because in the photos the supposed still life seems to be exceedingly moved.
